LONDON - Author J.K. Rowling could score a Harry Potter hat trick.
The creator of the immensely popular book series has been nominated for a 2001 Children's Book Award, which she has won twice already.
The first installment of her series, ``Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,'' won the award in 1997 and book two, ``Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,'' was honored in 1998.
This year, ``Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'' has been nominated in the longer novels category, putting Rowling in position for a possible third win.
The awards are administered by the Federation of Children's Book Groups, with winners determined by the votes of thousands of young readers. Winners will be announced on June 9.
Also nominated in the longer novels category were ``Stormbreaker,'' by Anthony Horowitz and ``Holes,'' by Louis Sachar.
Short novel nominees were ``The Tale of Rickety Hall,'' by Penny Donlan, ``Dog Magic,'' by Chris Priestly and ``Lizzie Zipmouth,'' by Jacqueline Wilson, who has also won twice in the past.
